Male enhancement exercises are becoming increasingly popular among men – and perhaps their satisfied partners, too – for good reasons. These exercises are considered as natural yet safe, effective and affordable methods of increasing penile length and girth, even sexual performance via better control over ejaculation.

What Are These Exercises

Male enhancement exercises are manual exercises involving the penis wherein a man primarily uses his hands to stretch, apply pressure, and rotate, among other movements, his sex organ.

Many of these exercises require the use of simple items, such as a hot wrap made from a clean small towel dipped in hot water, but the hands are the primary tools.

These exercises are obviously designed to increase two aspects of the penis that men find desirable, namely, its length and its girth. Length refers to the measurement from the base of the penis to its head while girth pertains to the diameter of the penis, both of which are components of overall size.

The larger penis in terms of length and girth is not the be-all and end-all, however, of male enhancement exercises. Men also want to enjoy the benefits of better ability to control ejaculations (i.e., lesser frequency of premature ejaculations) and better sexual performance, said benefits of which usually come from Kegels exercises.

How Do They Work?

The efficacy of male enhancement exercises is based on several principles and practices that have been supported by both scientific and anecdotal evidence.

  • Massage of the tissues. This is the case with jelqing, a common male enhancement exercise involving the manual manipulation of the penis to push more blood flow through its chambers particularly the corpora cavernosa. Scientists have proven that massage increases blood flow circulation into the treated area, a principle applied in male enhancement exercises.

It must be emphasized that the strength of penile erections are based on the amount of blood flow into its chambers.

When blood pools in the corpora cavernosa, then the penis becomes erect and holds its position until ejaculation occurs.

The more blood flow into the chambers, the stronger the erection will be.

  • Stretching of the tissues. The penis is made up of tissues that can be stretched over time with the appropriate exercises, such as the basic stretch. As the penis is regularly being stretched, it forms microscopic tears that the body soon repairs with new tissues. The process is known as cell replication, which is also applicable in muscle-building exercises.

Indeed, male enhancement exercises apply similar principles as in bodybuilding exercises.

What Are the Types?

There are three main types of male enhancement exercises but there are several variations within each type.

Stretching

Stretching is the foundation of male enhancement exercises. Its principles are also used by men in India who hang weights from their penises and by men in the United States who use mechanical traction devices to attain a larger and longer penis. The main difference: Stretching is a safer yet more effective option than weights and mechanical traction devices.

Jelqing

Jelqing requires a milking motion on the penis as applied by the hands; think of milking a cow’s teats and you have the idea. The exercise improves blood flow into the penis, thus, harder and bigger erections are achieved with regular application.

Kegel

Kegel exercises are used to achieve better control over the contractions in the pelvic muscles and, thus, better control over ejaculations.

Men can combine the three types of exercises into a single exercise program, such as stretching for warm-ups, jelqing for the exercise proper, and Kegels for the cool-down as an example. Many exercises also combine two aspects such as the hot Kegel/jelqing exercise, which involves a hot wrap around the penis before jelqing and doing Kegels simultaneously.
