Most men dream about lasting longer in bed and they’re worried that the performance they’re capable of delivering is quite far from adult movie scenarios.
Are you one of those men?
There’s no reason to worry! If you’re open to experimenting and you have a supporting partner, there are several things you can do to extend the length of the bedroom sessions.
#1 The Start And Stop Method
Do you feel like you’re close to the edge? If so, it’s a good idea to change things up a bit.
Modify the speed or slow down. Stop the penetrative portion of the sex, get into a bit of foreplay and start again. She’ll appreciate all of the attention to detail and you’ll get some time to regroup and extend the love making.
It’s actually a really, really good idea to try sex at a slower pace. Chances are that it will drive her wild and the experience will be much more satisfying for both parties involved.
#2 Kegel Exercises
Did you know that it’s possible to control your orgasm? To accomplish that, you’ll simply have to do kegel exercises (more about that here) that will strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.
Kegel exercises are equally beneficial for men and for women. They work on the pelvic floor muscles – the ones that have to be squeezed to stop the flow of urine when peeing.
Kegel exercises are performed in this exact way – squeeze the muscles, hold the contraction and repeat.
It’s interesting to point out that research presented during the European Congress of Urology in Stockholm supports the claim. Urologists worked with male volunteers aged 19 to 46.
The average time till climax for all of the volunteers was 31.7 seconds (yep – see that your performance isn’t that bad after all?). The men were asked to do kegel exercises for a period of 12 weeks.
In the end of the experiment, the stamina of the volunteers was assessed once again. The average intercourse time till ejaculation was accomplished had increased to the much more impressive 146.2 seconds.
#3 Keep Things Shallow
Deep penetration is highly stimulating and it’s one of the main sexual activities that contribute to quick climax. You may want to alter between deep and shallow penetration to make things more fun for both of you and to last longer.
Deep thrusting stimulates all of the penile pleasure sensors. That’s why it doesn’t take long for things to end. Changing the rhythm requires a bit of self-discipline (because going deeper is natural and instinctive).
Still, it can make sex a bit more exciting and by delaying the climax, you’ll be intensifying the sensations.
#4 Have Some Fun By Yourself Before The Main Event
Masturbation before having sex is one of the techniques that men have been using since the start of time to last longer in bed.
If you expect to have a bit of fun with a partner during the night, enjoy yourself in the shower before going out. An ejaculation that takes place an hour or two before sex enables men to last much longer than usual.
This is especially true and beneficial for the individuals that haven’t had sex in a while. Masturbation could also be a foreplay element. A guy that has climaxed already will be much more likely to focus on the lady’s pleasure later on.
#5 Choose The Right Positions
A few sex positions are ideal for the men that tend to climax too fast. Spooning is one example. The position allows for gentler penetration rather than deep thrusting.
It slows things down, creates an intimate experience and is a wonderful beginning of a long love making session.
A few other great sex positions for men that tend to orgasm fast include doggy style (as surprising as this fact may be!), cowgirl and reverse cowgirl because these put the woman in control, side by side sex and the cross.
